are often better for cooling We may not necessarily be buying the concept

  • Hi Julka,
    As a workaround I have used {{url absolute=”true”}} instead.

    A few suggestions
    – The Facebook Sharing option needs to be upgraded.
    – The Nav Menu should use the ghost navigation settings to allow changes from the admin instead of code changes.
    – I had to make quite a few fixes to the theme to take care of compliance with sub-directory installation of ghost. Are you planning an update to take care of ensuring that sub-directory functionality works ok with the theme.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Julka,
i have fixed the nav bar issue by using @blog.url in the href instead of / which was earlier their how ever for the share this story link I am still facing an issue.
This is the how the url is getting built
    href=”https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u={{@blog.url}}{{url}}”

    Seems like @blog.url = https://www.ecomukti.com/ghblog/
    While url = /ghblog/….
so the href is equating to https://www.ecomukti.com/ghblog/ghblog/….

Any ideas on how i can fix url to not duplicate the ghblog without breaking anything else?

    Hi Julka,
You can check our blog site at https://www.ecomukti.com/ghblog/

    Hi Julka,
Another issue that I noticed when I am using sub-directory.
    1) The company icon and blog which use @blog.url are pointing to the domain without the sub-directory. i.e. abc.com instead of abc.com\blog\

    2) At the end of the blog, share this story social icons have the sub-directory twice instead of just once.

Please see attachment for more details.

A question on the about us and the contact page. I see that there are 2 hbs files for these. However the links do not seem to work i get the 404 page not found error as it is just going to blog.com\about-us page.
Is there any way of searching blogs?

Please ignore previous post on the menu, the issue was with an incorrect end tag. It is working fine now.

    Hi Julka,
    Thank you for the response.

With the new boston 1.1 theme I see an issue with the menu where in the first item in this case “BLOG” the text is displayed in a row below the actual menu bar the remaining menu items “About Us” and “Contact” are fine. The highlighting also is correct.
    Please attached image.

    Hi Julka,
The images in assets\images\content are just grey in color. Can you send me this folder with the correct images. Also please send me the updated documentation for version 1.1

    Thanks Julka,
Can you also send me the updated documentation.

    Hi Julka,
I tried downloading the theme again but have got the same files that I downloaded a week back. I do not see the file that you have mentioned in the screenshot. Please send me the latest version.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Julka,
I have made the changes as per Davids suggestion and it works fine.
asset files should be accessed via {{asset js/yourjs.js}}. More information can be found at http://themes.ghost.org/v0.5.10/

The image files referenced in partial\*.hbs also need to be changed.

One question with regards to form/contact-form.js this is in the form directory outside of asset for the time being I have copied it to assets\js\contact-form.js is this the correct fix? Let me know if you see any potential issues.

Do you plan to update the theme with these changes?

Also the package.json is also missing and seems that it will be mandatory soon.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Fabio,
Any update to the Boston Ghost theme I have just purchased it and is not working well with ghost 0.59 and sub directory support (ghost 0.4) in particular.

David has mentioned that the theme might not be using {{asset js/yourjs.js}} would you be able to confirm and provide a workaround.

    hi Julka,
I have used the same article to configure Apache and it worked fine for the default theme casper 1.1.6 after everything was working I looked for a theme that I could use and bought Boston theme for ghost. This theme is giving an issue while the casper theme continues to work fine. In fact I have posted a question to them as well.
The screen shot that you sent is referring to the current production version which is using word press and not ghost. We are moving away from wordpress to self installed version of ghost with the boston theme.
Has anyone succeeded in using boston ghost theme as a subdirectory and if so where there any config changes that need to be done in the theme?

    Thanks & Regards
