Looking GOOD!!!! : )
Tell your developer I said thanks a million – I never would’ve been able to figure it out and this was killing us.
Just curious, what was the issue? Theme? Woocommerce? Something else? Will this be put in a future update or was this fix specific to us?
Thanks again for the help on this, we really appreciate it.
woody15User posts: 55I wish I was able to fix it. I tried tinkering with it and wasn’t successful, and accidentally left the snippet you added to the functions.php file commented out.
The files should now be the same when you last edited them.
Just to reiterate, we need this product and other products with prices and catalog mode enabled to NOT display an “add to truck” button (but DO display a quick connect button) – http://staging.stonewoodproducts.com/product/red-birch-hardwood-flooring-conservation/
We need this product and other variable products without prices to display the variable product dropdowns (and a quick connect button) – http://staging.stonewoodproducts.com/product/stone-pavers-driveways-cape-cod-nantucket/
Finally, other products like this one with prices and catalog mode disabled must still display an add to cart button (and no quick connect button) – http://staging.stonewoodproducts.com/product/red-birch-hardwood-flooring-conservation/
Thanks again
woody15User posts: 55Hate to keep bugging you, but did your developer get to this today?
My manager wants this done soon. Let me know if he has questions. Thanks.
woody15User posts: 55Anything on this today?
I looked at the plugin code for a bit today – couldn’t figure out how to fix it. Seems like that snippet in our functions.php file breaks the catalog mode enabled functionality on products with prices. Yet, when removed, the variable products with no prices don’t show variation dropdowns.
woody15User posts: 55Ok, thanks.
One last issue though… after this fix, the “add to cart” button is now displayed on products with prices and catalog mode enabled. (I apologize for not seeing this earlier).
See this product for reference (catalog mode is enabled on both the parent category and the product itself) – http://staging.stonewoodproducts.com/product/red-birch-hardwood-flooring-conservation/
If you guys could fix this last case, that would be great. Many thanks.
woody15User posts: 55Awesome!!! Looks good, I think that did it.
Which part of the code did you change in that file though? Just curious.
Thanks again.
woody15User posts: 55Hi Magda,
That fixed the issue on variable products, but now I see two variation dropdown sections on variable products that DO have prices set. (see screenshot).
URL of issue: http://staging.stonewoodproducts.com/product/shiplap-pine-pack-unfinished/
Any ideas on this? Thanks again for your prompt assistance on this.

Doh! I totally forgot I put that bit of code in. I should have suspected that, my apologies.
That’s definitely what was causing the issue. I thought it was working fine when I put in, but I guess I missed this bug. I’ll have to troubleshoot from here.
I really appreciate your help, and I apologize for having missed this. Thanks!!!

Check out the attached image.
The part in red brackets is the edited part.

The “select options” buttons only appear in “related” and “featured” product sliders which are part of our theme. And again, it’s only a handful of products.
woody15User posts: 55This reply has been marked as private.woody15User posts: 55Sorry Magda, maybe I wasn’t clear.
We WANT the single product buttons AND the variation product buttons.
We just want to remove the Shop page buttons. Again, sorry for the confusion.
woody15User posts: 55This reply has been marked as private.woody15User posts: 55Hold on…
I’m afraid I spoke too soon. The edit you made removed the “add to cart” button from product pages also.
Check out the shower kits. Originally, customers were able to add those products to the cart, but the “add to cart” button doesn’t show up on those product pages anymore.
Could you maybe take another look to see why that’s happening?
Thanks
woody15User posts: 55Awesome, thanks Magda!
That’s a huge help for us. If you don’t mind, what exactly did you change in that file? Did you just pull something out or was it more complicated?
Thanks again
woody15User posts: 55Thanks for the quick reply,
I updated to the latest version of the plugin but we still have the problem. I just deactivated and deleted the old one, then unzipped the new one and added the ct-catalog folder to the plugins directory through FTP and activated it. Is that the right procedure?
Is there a setting I need to change maybe?
Thanks
